Job summary

Ruppert Landscape Co is seeking a Spray Technician to perform chemical applications across landscape areas in a fast-paced setting. This hourly role is 35+ hours per week with weekends as necessary.

This position requires a valid Virginia Pesticides License, a clean driving record, and the ability to perform basic math. The role involves lifting, climbing, and operating sprayers and vehicles in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Virginia Pesticides License.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Ability to perform basic math (multiplication, division, subtraction, addition).

Responsibilities

• Identification - recognize insects, fungus, weeds, turf, shrubs and trees.
• Mixing - select and measure chemicals to minimize waste.
• Application - calibrate sprayer and apply chemicals at correct rates.
• Application Logs - fill out daily logs and submit after shift.
• Performing general physical activities for 8+ hours daily in varying weather.
• Operating vehicles or equipment such as trucks, sprayers, and power equipment.
