Job summary

Ruppert Landscape is hiring a Spray Technician for the Panama City maintenance branch. This hourly, 35+ hour/week role involves applying landscape chemicals, identifying pests and weeds, and maintaining accurate logs.

The position requires a valid driver’s license, basic math skills, and a SC Chemical Applicators License within 6 months of starting. Prior commercial chemical application experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required.
• Able to perform basic math (multiplication, division, addition, subtraction).
• South Carolina Chemical Applicators License must be obtained within 6 months of start.
• Prior commercial chemical application experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify insects, fungi, weeds, turf, shrubs and trees and assess chemical control needs.
• Mix chemicals and measure correct amounts to minimize waste.
• Calibrate and operate sprayer to apply chemicals at proper rates.
• Fill out daily chemical application logs and report at end of shift.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, walking and handling materials for 8+ hours daily in varying weather.
• Operate vehicles and механized equipment such as trucks, trailers, mowers, bobcats, ATV, golf cart or mobile sprayer.
