Job summary

Gibbs Lawn Care, LLC in Broad Run, VA seeks a Registered Spray Technician to perform chemical applications across landscape areas. This hourly role runs 35+ hours per week with potential weekend work.

You will mix, calibrate, and apply pesticides, fertilizers and other turf-care products following label requirements and safety regulations. Valid driver's license and pesticide certification eligibility are required; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in turf/landscape or pesticide application preferred; we offer training.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain/maintain pesticide applicator certification.
• Ability to lift/carry equipment and materials.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow product labels.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Willingness to work outdoors for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Identify insects, diseases, weeds, turf, shrubs, and trees to assess treatment needs.
• Calibrate and apply mixed chemicals and fertilizers according to label requirements and procedures.
• Mix chemicals and operate spray equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate application logs and records of products used.
• Operate vehicles and equipment and comply with safety regulations.
• Utilize tablets/phones to document work and inspections.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and report safety issues.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and maintain a professional appearance.
• Perform other lawn-care duties as needed.
