Job summary

Roscoe Care Center in North Hollywood, CA is seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to enhance our skilled nursing team. You will evaluate residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing concerns, and design tailored therapy plans to improve daily communication and safety during meals.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in California.
  • Minimum 2 years of healthcare experience, SNF experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of speech therapy rules and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and people skills; team player.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • Familiarity with medical records and healthcare software.

Responsibilities

  • Assess residents' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Deliver targeted therapy interventions for articulation, language, cognition, and swallowing.
  • Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to optimize resident outcomes.
  • Educate residents and families on goals, plans, and home practice.
