Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents' communication and swallowing abilities using standardized assessments.

• Provide skilled speech therapy interventions including articulation, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing therapy.
• Monitor and document resident progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary; communicate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Educate residents and family members on therapy goals, plans, and home exercise programs.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of speech therapy services.
• Participate in team meetings, in-service education, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain current knowledge of speech therapy practice and relevant regulations.

We are seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at a skilled nursing facility. As the Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating residents with communication and swallowing disorders to help them improve their quality of life and functional abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate residents' communication and swallowing abilities using standardized assessments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, resident goals, and physician orders
• Provide skilled speech therapy interventions, including articulation and language therapy, cognitive-communication therapy, and swallowing therapy
