Job summary

Arrow Child & Family Ministries в Belcamp, MD, seeks a Teacher to implement IEP/PEP programs and deliver instruction across core subjects and electives. You will design unit plans for small groups, assess student progress, and adapt teaching to diverse learning styles while guiding positive behavior in a supportive classroom.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety, documenting progress, collaborating with the Treatment Team, and contributing to a positive school culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and teaching certificate required or eligible to obtain within timelines.
• At least 1 year of teaching experience in special education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe learning environment and manage student behavior.
• Provide direct group and individual instruction in English/language arts, math, science, social studies and electives.
• Prepare unit plans for groups of about nine students and tailor instruction to individual needs.
• Create a stimulating learning environment to engage students who struggle with school.
• Complete attendance, grades and behavioral logs to record student progress.
• Prepare evaluations through IEP/PEP and suggest plan changes as needed.
• Participate in Treatment Team communications and share information in writing and speech.
• Contribute to a positive school culture and uphold safety policies.
• Follow regulatory standards; may drive and complete vehicle training.
