Knobelsdorff seeks a skilled electrician to support the Energy division with solar electrical construction across the Midwest. You will execute PV installations, ensure safety and quality, mentor apprentices, and help keep projects on schedule.

The role requires a Journeyman license or 8,000 electrical hours, 5+ years in solar or electrical construction, and travel across the Midwest. Competitive benefits accompany a full-time position.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Electrician License OR Verifiable 8,000 Electrical Working Hours.
• 5+ years of experience in solar or electrical construction.
• Familiarity with photovoltaic (solar) systems and DC/AC configurations.
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to travel extensively across the Midwest (overnight stays required).
• Valid driver’s license with a history of safe driving.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsabilités

• Install photovoltaic (solar) electrical systems according to drawings and specifications.
• Apply knowledge of current electrical codes and best practices on the job.
• Complete material takeoffs and support tool/equipment procurement.
• Mentor and support apprentices and crew members in the field.
• Conduct or assist in AC and DC terminations and wire management.
• Interpret construction documents, wire schedules, and BOMs.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, and field records.
• Collaborate with foremen and PMs to meet safety and production goals.
• Communicate effectively with crew, customers, and leadership.
