Job summary

ION Solar is seeking a skilled Licensed Electrician to join our Franklin, MA team. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical power, lighting, and control systems for residential solar projects, ensuring safety, quality and code compliance.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, wiring installations, sealing roof penetrations, and coordinating with customers.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Solar or relevant experience is preferred.
• Licensed - Completion of a formal apprenticeship and proof of valid electrician's license required.
• Unlicensed - Must be enrolled in a trade apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Complete projects within established policies and procedures.
• Complete projects within time frames and budgets.
• Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on crew safety.
• Assemble the solar array racking, properly seal all roof penetrations, and install all relative equipment.
• Responsible for the groundwork of a solar installation which includes the connection to the MSP.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and operational issues.
• Communicate with customers in a professional, and respectful manner, answering all questions and complaints to the best of your ability.
• Document proper paperwork for each job completed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
