Job summary

Joe Simpson Plumbing in Woodbury, CT is seeking a licensed service plumber to join our team for full-time work on residential and new construction projects. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and lead apprentices while ensuring all work meets code requirements.

Expect a schedule of 8:00 am–5:00 pm, Monday–Friday with overtime potential. Competitive pay ($40.00–$50.00/hour) plus benefits including health insurance, PTO, a company vehicle, and mentoring opportunities.

We're Joe Simpson Plumbing, a local industry leader serving the Woodbury, CT area, and we're calling on dependable, experienced, hands-on professionals to step into a full-time role with stability, strong pay, and a clear path forward.

Pay: $40.00 – $50.00/hour, based on experience

Schedule: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with overtime available

WHAT TO EXPECT AS A LICENSED SERVICE PLUMBER:

You'll take ownership of our residential and new construction projects, and you'll be responsible for ensuring excellence from start to finish. You will work independently (or lead apprentices) to accurately diagnose issues with home plumbing systems and complete necessary repairs. This role also takes charge of residential renovations, remodels, and new construction projects, including rough-ins, installations, and maintenance, while ensuring all work meets building codes and industry regulations. Professional communication skills are a must, as you'll speak with homeowners about their system issues, explain service options, and keep them informed on the job's progress. We're looking for an autonomous problem solver who can effectively manage a workload, train apprentices, and execute jobs flawlessly.

LICENSED SERVICE PLUMBER MUST-HAVES:

• Active Connecticut P2 or J2 plumbing license
• Proven hands-on plumbing experience (ideally in residential repairs, rough-ins, renovations, or new construction)
• Ability to effectively perform assigned jobs independently
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Communication skills for professionally interacting with customers and properly explaining system issues and solutions

Our ideal person has experience independently running residential service calls and communicating with customers. A willingness to train apprentices would be a bonus! Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills would also be helpful.
