Sweeny ISD District Wide – Sweeny, Texas is seeking a Licensed School Psychologist to provide professional assessment, counseling, and behavior support for students with emotional, learning, and behavioral challenges. The role involves evaluating eligibility for special education and contributing to IEP development.

The incumbent collaborates with ARD committees, teachers, and families, develops evaluation reports, and may supervise interns.

Qualifications

Master's degree in psychology from accredited college or university.
Valid Texas license as a licensed school psychologist or Trainee Status Letter issued by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists.

Responsibilities

Select and administer assessments and observations to evaluate the intellectual, emotional, and behavioral functioning of referred students. Determine student eligibility for special education services according to federal and state regulations.
Develop psychological evaluation reports and behavior management plans.
Conduct or participate in ARD Committee to assist with appropriate placement and development of IEPs.
May serve as case manager and implement the special education assessment process for students on assigned campuses.
Meet with parents to discuss pertinent background information and test results; conduct group and individual counseling sessions.
