Job summary

Lockhart Independent School District Maintenance is seeking a Journeyman Plumber to service district facilities. You will install, repair, and inspect pipes, fixtures, and plumbing systems, read blueprints, and follow codes.

Responsibilities include responding to calls, estimating materials, and keeping tools and work areas organized. Qualified candidates hold a TX Journeyman license, high school diploma or GED, and a valid TX driver's license; backflow endorsement is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Texas Board of Plumbing Examiners - Journeyman plumber license.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license.
  • Water Supply Protection Specialist Endorsement (Backflow) - Preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, maintain, and pressure test pipes, fittings, and fixtures per specifications and codes.
  • Determine sources of plumbing malfunctions and complete repairs per work orders.
  • Install and repair pipes, fixtures, and plumbing system equipment including sinks, water heaters, etc.
  • Receive and complete work orders; estimate material and labor; maintain inventory.
  • Inspect completed work and ensure areas are clean; assist with district projects.
