Job summary

BJC HealthCare's outpatient Missouri Baptist pharmacy is seeking a licensed pharmacy technician to join a close-knit team. Under pharmacist supervision you will perform clerical tasks, enter patient and prescription data, process transfers, and help manage inventory.

The role emphasizes customer service, accurate cash handling, compliance with pharmacy procedures, and supporting workflow with automated systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• State Board of Pharmacy registration required.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Completes clerical tasks, to include sending/receiving tubes and faxes, filing prescriptions, processing mail and courier prescriptions.
• Enters customer, insurance and prescription information and completes prescription transfers.
• Sells prescriptions (POS system), handles cash, manages payment exceptions and reconciles cash.
• Orders and manages inventory (drug and non-drug); stocks shelves; rotates, organizes, and removes expired product; performs cycle counts and returns to stock.
• Completes data entry, contact manager, product dispensing (manual and automated via Parata and RxSafe), and basic compounding.
