Absolute Air Services in Portland, CT is seeking a Connecticut-licensed Electrician with an active E-1 or E-2 license to diagnose residential electrical problems, perform repairs and installations, and provide homeowners with clear, honest recommendations.

Qualifications

• Connecticut E-1 or E-2 license required.
• Residential electrical service, repair, and installation experience.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Knowledge of residential electrical systems, wiring methods, and codes.
• Ability to work independently and safely.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Professional appearance and respectful demeanor in customers’ homes.
• Strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills.
• Comfortable using tablets and field service software.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to commute to Portland, CT and service area.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential electrical systems.
• Perform electrical safety inspections and identify code, performance, and safety concerns.
• Install and replace electrical panels, breakers, circuits, outlets, switches, lighting, ceiling fans, and other residential electrical components.
• Complete service upgrades, wiring repairs, dedicated circuits, and electrical system improvements.
• Install and service generators, surge protection systems, EV chargers, detectors, and other equipment.
• Explain findings and present homeowners with appropriate repair or replacement options.
• Prepare accurate estimates and document all work performed using company software.
• Ensure installations and repairs comply with electrical codes and permitting requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Communicate professionally with customers and build trust through quality workmanship.
• Coordinate with customer service, dispatch, and other field team members; maintain tools and vehicle inventory.
• Participate in ongoing technical, product, customer service, and safety training.
