Holy Name Medical Center is seeking a Recreational Therapist to plan and conduct art, recreation, music, and therapy sessions to improve patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities include monitoring progress, documenting treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Eligible candidates hold a Bachelor's in Recreational Therapy and have 1–3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

A Brief Overview

Recreational therapist working in the Holy Name Pavilion planning and conducting various therapies including art therapy, recreational activities, pet therapy, music therapy, and group therapy to improve patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being.

What You Will Do

• Monitor patient progress or responses to treatment
• Document/record patient progress, treatment plan
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop plan of care.
• Engage/Interact with patients/families to build rapport and provide treatment.
• Conduct various therapies (e.g. group, art, recreation, music, pet therapy)
• Support clinical staff and assist with basic patient needs (e.g. activities of daily living)
• Help patients to learn social skills needed to become or remain independent.
• Help patients to reduce and cope with stress, anxiety, or depression
• Document and analyze patients' progress to ensure that their goals are being met and to update/modify treatment plan accordingly.
• Obtain and maintain de-escalation certification.

Education Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Recreational Therapy

Experience Qualifications

• 1-3 Years Recreational therapy, art therapy, group therapy, behavioral health

In addition to those factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider any internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Pay Range: $27.80 - $34.75
