Job summary

AAR is seeking an Inspector, QC Licensed in Rockford, IL to perform inspections on civil aviation articles and ensure compliance with manufacturer data and customer specifications. You will review records and approve work for return to service under 14 CFR Part 65.

The role requires an FAA A&P license and aviation experience, with QC experience preferred. AA degree or equivalent is preferred, and the environment is a warehouse-style manufacturing facility in Illinois.

Qualifications

• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license is required.
• 1-2 years aviation experience required; 1+ years QC experience preferred.
• Associate of Arts (AA) degree or equivalent from 2-year college or technical school preferred.
• Have been exercising their airmen privileges and actively engaged for the last 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Verifies work performed on aviation articles is in compliance with manufacturer data and customer data.
• Performs incoming, primary, hidden damage, in-process, and final inspections.
• Review maintenance records, documentation, and logbooks to ensure all necessary repairs, inspections, Op-checks, and documentation have been completed in accordance with the current approved/accepted technical data. Will be authorized to approve work performed for the return to service.
• Perform task as assigned relating to the privileges granted under 14 CFR Part 65.
• Always observing company safety requirements while carrying out assigned tasks.
