Job summary

Ellie Mental Health in Freehold, NJ, is hiring a New Jersey-licensed psychologist to launch and lead psychological testing at our practice. You will build our assessment service from the ground up, collaborating with therapists to provide clients with clear results and actionable treatment plans, both in person and virtually.

The role requires a doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD), NJ licensure or eligibility, and experience in test selection, administration, interpretation, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in psychology (PhD or PsyD)
• Active, unrestricted New Jersey psychology license or eligibility
• Training and supervised experience in psychological assessment (test selection, administration, interpretation, reporting)
• Proficiency with core instruments (WAIS, WISC, WIAT, MMPI-3, PAI, ADOS-2) and strong clinical writing

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults including ADHD, autism spectrum, learning disability, mood and personality assessments
• Select, administer, score, and interpret cognitive, achievement, personality, and diagnostic instruments
• Write clear, timely integrated reports with practical recommendations
• Hold feedback sessions with clients and families
• Consult with Ellie therapists on referrals, diagnostic questions, and treatment planning
• Help build the testing program: test library, intake and referral workflow, and report templates
• Supervise psychometrists or doctoral trainees as the program grows
• Keep documentation compliant with NJ Board of Psychological Examiners rules and payer requirements

Ellie Mental Health - Freehold Central is hiring a New Jersey-licensed psychologist to launch and lead psychological testing at our practice. Ellie is a minority- and woman-owned group psychotherapy practice serving New Jersey in person and virtually, with offices in Woodbridge and Freehold.

You will build our assessment service from the ground up, working alongside our therapists to give clients clear answers and better treatment plans.

Requirements

• Proficiency with core instruments (for example WAIS, WISC, WIAT, MMPI-3, PAI, ADOS-2).
• Strong clinical writing and the ability to explain results in plain language.

Preferred

• Experience in an outpatient group practice.
• Neuropsychological, forensic, or custody evaluation experience.
• Familiarity with insurance billing for testing codes (96130-96139) and prior authorizations.
• Bilingual (Spanish or another language spoken in our communities).

Flexible work from home options available.

Compensation: $70.00 - $85.00 per hour
