Ellie Mental Health - Freehold Central in New Jersey is seeking a licensed psychologist to launch and lead our psychological testing program. The role involves building the assessment service, selecting and interpreting instruments, and providing clear feedback to clients and families.

You will supervise trainees, collaborate with therapists, and ensure all documentation meets NJ guidelines and payer requirements while offering both in-person and virtual services.

Formación

• Doctoral degree in psychology and NJ licensure or eligibility.
• Experience with assessment, test selection, administration, interpretation and reporting.
• Strong clinical writing and ability to explain results clearly.

Ellie Mental Health - Freehold Central is hiring a New Jersey–licensed psychologist to launch and lead psychological testing at our practice. Ellie is a minority- and woman-owned group psychotherapy practice serving New Jersey in person and virtually, with offices in Woodbridge and Freehold.

You will build our assessment service from the ground up, working alongside our therapists to give clients clear answers and better treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults, including ADHD, autism spectrum, learning disability, mood, and personality assessments.
• Select, administer, score, and interpret cognitive, achievement, personality, and diagnostic instruments.
• Write clear, timely integrated reports with practical recommendations.
• Hold feedback sessions with clients and families.
• Consult with Ellie therapists on referrals, diagnostic questions, and treatment planning.
• Help build the testing program: test library, intake and referral workflow, and report templates.
• Supervise psychometrists or doctoral trainees as the program grows.
• Keep documentation compliant with NJ Board of Psychological Examiners rules and payer requirements.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in clinical, counseling, or school psychology.
• Active, unrestricted license as a psychologist in New Jersey, or eligible for licensure by start date.
• Training and supervised experience in psychological assessment, including test selection, administration, interpretation, and report writing.
• Proficiency with core instruments (for example WAIS, WISC, WIAT, MMPI-3, PAI, ADOS-2).
• Strong clinical writing and the ability to explain results in plain language.

Preferred

• Experience in an outpatient group practice.
• Neuropsychological, forensic, or custody evaluation experience.
• Familiarity with insurance billing for testing codes (96130–96139) and prior authorizations.
• Bilingual (Spanish or another language spoken in our communities).
