HireVenture is seeking a Licensed Psychologist to join our mental health team in Tutwiler, Mississippi. The successful candidate will perform psychological assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, provide counseling, and respond to crises within a correctional facility.

Candidates should hold a doctoral degree in psychology, have an active Mississippi license, and at least two years of clinical experience, including one in a similar setting.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited college or university.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice psychology in Mississippi.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience, including at least one year in a comparable clinical position.
• Strong knowledge of psychological assessment, counseling techniques, treatment planning, and crisis intervention.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive psychological screenings, clinical interviews, and mental health assessments.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical evaluations.
• Provide psychological counseling, therapeutic interventions, and ongoing mental health support.
• Assess and respond to psychiatric emergencies, behavioral crises, and other urgent mental health concerns.
• Perform regular mental health evaluations of individuals in specialized or restricted housing units.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, social workers, security personnel, and other professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Identify behavioral changes, evaluate potential mental health risks, and recommend appropriate interventions.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with professional standards and facility policies.
• Apply evidence-based psychological approaches while maintaining a safe, ethical, and therapeutic environment.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Psychologist to join the mental health team at a correctional healthcare facility in Tutwiler, Mississippi.
