Grammar is seeking a Clinical Psychologist for the State Federal Correctional Facility in Tutwiler, Mississippi. The role involves conducting screenings and assessments, working with a mental health team, and developing individualized treatment plans for inmates.

The successful candidate will perform rounds, apply counseling techniques, and coordinate with psychiatry, nursing, and other staff to address crises and escalation of mental health needs.

Formación

• Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited college or university.
• Current, unrestricted psychology license in the practice state.
• Two years of clinical experience, including one year in a comparable position.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Minimum age 18 years.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct psychological screenings and assessments based on records and inmate interviews.
• Collaborate with psychiatry, nursing, social workers, and other staff to coordinate care and ensure patient follow-through.
• Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans based on evaluation of needs and functioning.
• Make rounds in segregation or other housing areas to assess inmate adjustment and needs.
• Demonstrate knowledge of counseling theory and techniques for inmates.
• Provide mental health assessments, counseling, and crisis interventions as needed.
• Consult with multiple departments to understand and address escalation of problems or changes in mental health.
