Responsibilities

• Provide basic general behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to patients/youth.
• Perform daily clinical rounds and monitor patients with signs of mental illness.
• Administer medications and treatments under supervision, including injections and vital signs.
• Collaborate with Treatment Team to develop plans and objectives from assessments.
• Assist in group and individual therapy regimens; provide group therapy.
• Liaise with custody personnel in management of patients/youths.
• Observe patients' condition and report changes.
• Coordinate clinical appointment dates and times; assist patients at appointments.
• Assist in first responder duties such as CPR and first aid as needed.
• Follow documentation procedures accurately.
• Help create a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment.
