Job summary
GARNEY CONSTRUCTION in Kingsport, TN seeks a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to manage and support project Quality Management for Federal contracting projects. You will implement and execute Quality Management Programs across projects, ensuring compliance with contract standards.
The role requires 5+ years in heavy civil construction, 2+ years as QC Manager, and active TN PE license with EM 385 and OSHA 30 certifications. Strong communication with federal personnel is essential.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of construction experience in heavy civil projects.
- Minimum 2 years as Quality Control Manager.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Current US Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management for Contractors Certification.
- EM 385 40-hour and OSHA 30-hour certifications.
- Current Professional Engineering Registration in TN.
- Fluent in English.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project Quality Management Systems to meet contract quality standards.
- Review CPM schedules and submittals.
- Prepare Government meeting notices to support schedules.
- Conduct weekly Quality Control meetings.
- Perform/supervise quality inspections as needed.
- Communicate with Federal Government personnel effectively.
- Promote Garney safety programs and procedures.
