Job summary

Rivermont Schools in Arkansas is hiring a Mental Health Associate to support students with emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. You will assist with academics, daily routines, and behavior management in a collaborative setting with teachers, therapists, and families.

You will observe and document progress, help with self-help skills, and apply de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe, supportive classroom environment. Training and ongoing development are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required and basic computer skills are expected.
• Strong communication, reading, writing, and documentation abilities are essential.
• Reliable, punctual, and adaptable team player with a patient, calm demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with academics, social skills, and daily living needs across ages from elementary to high school.
• Observe behavior, document notes, and share updates with the team to adjust strategies.
• Help students with toileting, feeding, and hygiene to promote independence.
• Use de-escalation techniques and calming strategies to maintain a structured environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, BCBAs, and parents for consistent, individualized support.

As a Mental Health Associate with Rivermont Schools, you’ll support students with special needs by assisting with academics, daily routines, and positive behavior. This role works closely with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure consistent care and a supportive learning environment.

What You'll Need

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and basic computer skills (Outlook, Word)
• Strong communication, reading, writing, and documentation skills

• Passion for helping students with learning or behavioral differences

What You'll Do

• Partner with teachers, therapists, BCBAs, and parents to provide consistent and individualized support
