Job summary

Community Care of West Virginia (CCWV) seeks a licensed professional counselor (LPC) to address the mental health and substance use needs of adolescents and adults. You will provide individual and family therapy, under clinical supervision, and collaborate with the care team to meet treatment goals.

Responsibilities include care planning, education, documenting progress, and linking patients with local resources. Strong communication and adaptability are essential in this community-based role.

Qualifications

• Licensed by the West Virginia State Licensure Board for Counseling.
• Master's degree in counseling from an accredited institution.
• Two years of supervised counseling experience in a health care setting.
• Experience with chemical dependencies and adolescent populations.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Engage patients and families in active care planning.
• Provide psychotherapeutic services under clinical supervision.
• Assess patient knowledge and provide education and self-management support.
• Create and maintain inventory of local community resources and link patients to services.
• Document treatment goals, progress notes, and billing per standards.
• Promote inter-department cooperation and participate in committees.
