Job summary

Community Care of West Virginia Inc. is seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) to provide psychotherapy and case management for adolescents and adults in a community health setting.

The LPCA will work under supervision, engage patients and families in care planning, and coordinate services to meet behavioral, clinical, social, and environmental needs. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to engage with various patient populations.
• Must adapt to changes in the workplace.
• Must demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaborate with peers, other professionals, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Master's Degree in counseling or a related field; provisional WV license; successful background checks.

Responsibilities

• Engage patients and families in care planning, focusing on behavioral, clinical, social, and environmental needs.
• Conduct psychotherapy and other clinical services under supervision using individual, family, and group methods.
• Provide direct care management to high-risk populations and clinical consultation to the care team.
• Create and maintain a comprehensive inventory of local community resources and link patients to support services.
• Provide collaborative documentation for service delivery, including treatment goals and progress notes; submit authorizations as required.
• Promote interdepartmental cooperation and participate in committees or task forces.
