Job summary

Senior Care Therapy is seeking Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) to provide in-person psychotherapy to the geriatric population in skilled nursing facilities across MD. The role covers clinical care with administrative support handled by the company, including billing and credentialing.

We offer customizable full-time schedules (32/40 hours), a sign-on bonus up to $6,000, and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted LPC license in the state applying for.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR).
• Strong organizational and documentation skills with regulatory compliance.
• Ability to provide in-person services at assigned facilities, up to 45 minutes.
• Ability to move between patient rooms and offices within the facility.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group psychotherapy sessions for patients in subacute or skilled nursing facilities.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat emotional and behavioral health conditions (depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, cognitive decline).
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient.
• Collaborate with facility staff, interdisciplinary teams, and family members to support care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with standards using EHR.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group psychotherapy sessions for patients in a subacute or skilled nursing facility.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of emotional and behavioral health conditions, including depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, and cognitive decline.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to the needs of each patient.
• Collaborate with facility staff, interdisciplinary teams, and family members to support patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards using our clinician-designed electronic medical/health system (EHR).
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor in State applying for.
• Effective oral and written communication in English
• Basic proficiency with technology, including electronic health records (EHR).
• Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to regulatory compliance.
• Ability to provide in-person services at assigned facilities, up to 45 minutes.
• Ability to walk, stand, and move between patient rooms and offices within the facility throughout the day.
• Full Vaccination and Booster Status may be required in some facilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous clinical experience in a subacute, long-term care, or geriatric healthcare setting.
• History of treating Anxiety, Depression and Adjustment Disorders.
• Psych or Addictions experience is a plus.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
