Job summary

Senior Care Therapy is seeking Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) to provide in-person psychotherapy to geriatric residents in Skilled Nursing Facilities across MD. The clinician handles administrative tasks such as billing and credentialing, allowing focus on high-quality clinical care.

We offer customizable full-time schedules (32- or 40-hour equivalents), with salary ranges from $56,000 to $90,000 and a sign-on bonus up to $6,000 for full-time employees.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted LPC license in state applying for.
• Excellent oral and written English communication.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR).
• Strong organizational and documentation skills with regulatory compliance.
• Ability to provide in-person services at facilities, up to 45 minutes per patient.
• Vaccination and booster status may be required in some facilities.
• Experience in subacute/geriatric settings and with Anxiety, Depression, and Adjustment Disorders is preferred.
• Experience with Psych or Addiction services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group psychotherapy sessions in subacute or skilled nursing facilities.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat emotional and behavioral health conditions.
• Develop evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient.
• Collaborate with facility staff and families to support patient care.
• Maintain clinical documentation per regulatory standards using the EHR system.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group psychotherapy sessions for patients in a subacute or skilled nursing facility.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of emotional and behavioral health conditions, including depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, and cognitive decline.
• Develop and implement evidence‑based treatment plans tailored to the needs of each patient.
• Collaborate with facility staff, interdisciplinary teams, and family members to support patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards using our clinician‑designed electronic medical/health system (EHR).
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor in State applying for.
• Effective oral and written communication in English
• Basic proficiency with technology, including electronic health records (EHR).
• Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to regulatory compliance.
• Ability to provide in‑person services at assigned facilities, up to 45 minutes.
• Ability to walk, stand, and move between patient rooms and offices within the facility throughout the day.
• Full Vaccination and Booster Status may be required in some facilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous clinical experience in a subacute, long‑term care, or geriatric healthcare setting.
• History of treating Anxiety, Depression and Adjustment Disorders.
• Psych or Addictions experience is a plus.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
