Job summary

Senior Care Therapy is seeking Licensed Professional Counselors to provide in-person psychotherapy to geriatric residents in New Jersey. SCT handles billing, insurance, credentialing, and pre-certifications, offering full-time roles with flexible daytime hours and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state applying for.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English.
• Basic proficiency with technology including electronic health records (EHR).
• Strong organizational and documentation skills with regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group psychotherapy sessions for residents in subacute or skilled nursing facilities.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat emotional and behavioral health conditions (depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, cognitive decline).
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient.
• Collaborate with facility staff, interdisciplinary teams, and family members to support patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in EHR per regulatory standards.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Senior Care Therapy is seeking Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) to join our mission of providingin-personpsychotherapy services to the geriatric population. We currently serve over 300 Skilled Nursing Facilities including sub-acute, long-term care, and assisted livings throughout NJ, NY, PA, and MD.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group psychotherapy sessions for patients in a subacute or skilled nursing facility.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of emotional and behavioral health conditions, including depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, and cognitive decline.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to the needs of each patient.
• Collaborate with facility staff, interdisciplinary teams, and family members to support patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards using our clinician-designed electronic medical/health system (EHR).
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor in State applying for.
• Effective oral and written communication in English
• Basic proficiency with technology, including electronic health records (EHR).
• Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to regulatory compliance.
• Ability to provide in-person services at assigned facilities, up to 45 minutes.
• Ability to walk, stand, and move between patient rooms and offices within the facility throughout the day.
• Full Vaccination and Booster Status may be required in some facilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous clinical experience in a subacute, long-term care, or geriatric healthcare setting.
• History of treating Anxiety, Depression and Adjustment Disorders.
• Psych or Addictions experience is a plus.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
