Job summary

Amedisys is hiring a licensed practical nurse to join our home health team in Fayetteville, NC. This full-time, day-shift role requires an LPN license and one year of clinical LPN experience. You will verify plans of care with RNs, collaborate with physicians, and educate patients and caregivers in self-care.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical LPN experience.
• Current LPN license for the state you are assigned to work.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.
• Collaborate with physician and RN to ensure patient needs are met.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs.
• Review medications and perform medication reconciliation at each visit.
• Perform specialized procedures ordered by physician (e.g. foley catheter change).
• Prepare equipment and materials for treatments using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
