Job summary

Ro Health is hiring licensed LPNs to work in public school districts across the Chicago area for the current school year. In-person positions with schedules designed to fit your life and competitive weekly pay.

You will care for students with chronic conditions, coordinate with families and teachers, provide first aid, manage immunization records, and assist with emergency plans while supporting overall student health. New grads welcome.

Qualifications

• IL state nursing license is required.

• Current negative TB result required.

Responsibilities

• Manage care of students with chronic health conditions.
• Provide 1:1 support for health needs and emergencies.
• Monitor immunization records and ensure compliance.

Overview:

• In-person
• Options throughout Chicago area
• Monday through Friday while school is in session
• Start date: ASAP and flexible
• Specialty: pediatrics and school health

Responsibilities:

• Manage the care of students with chronic health conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes) by coordinating with healthcare providers, teachers, and parents.
• 1:1 support that may include g-tube, trach, catheter, diabetic management, seizure precaution, etc
• Monitor and manage immunization records to ensure compliance with state regulations
• Provide first aid and emergency care for injuries or sudden illnesses
• Develop and implement emergency response plans and drills.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records
• Communicate with parents regarding their child's health status, concerns, and recommended follow-up care
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time
• Potential need to frequently bend, crouch, and lift (up to 40 pounds)
