Job summary

PAM Health is seeking a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide nursing care under the supervision of an RN on the medical-surgical unit. You will gather patient data, carry out orders, and perform therapeutic procedures with an emphasis on patient safety and evidence-based care.

Candidates must hold current LPN/LVN licensure and BLS, with IV certification within 90 days where required. Inpatient med-surg experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Current LPN/LVN licensure in the practicing state or compact licensure.
• BLS certification required at time of employment.
• IV certification must be obtained within 90 days if required by state.
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care as directed by an RN on the nursing unit.
• Gather and report patient data accurately.
• Carry out physician orders.
• Perform therapeutic procedures on patients in an age- and population-appropriate manner.

Requirements

• BLS certification must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment


• Current IV Certification within 90 days of employment, if required per state regulations


• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required
