Job summary

PanCare of Florida is seeking a skilled and compassionate PediatricsLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Pediatrics team. In this role, you will provide direct nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or licensed providers. You will be at the forefront of working closely with healthcare professionals and patients to optimize treatment outcomes. This position is located at our PanCare Pediatrics Clinic in Panama City.

Your responsibilities include the following:

• Providing general nursing care to pediatric patients in accordance with provider orders and nursing standards


• Administering prescribed medications, injections, and treatments safely and accurately


• Perform routine diagnostic tests and procedures, including vital signs, EKGs, specimen collection, wound care, and sterile dressing changes


• Collecting, documenting, processing, and handling blood, urine, and other specimens per standing orders and provider direction


• Preparing patients for examinations and procedures


• Assisting physicians and nurse practitioners during the examinations, treatments, and testing


• Observing, documenting, and reporting patient conditions, responses to medications, and treatment outcomes


• Maintaining accurate, timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)


• Maintaining tracking and documentation for UDS, HEDIS, and care gap measures


• Participating in professional development and required training


• Preparing and maintaining exam rooms

Required Qualifications:

• Current BLS Certification


• Experience working in a pediatrics setting


• At least 6 months of clinical nursing experience


• Strong documentation and EMR proficiency

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience


• At least 2 years experience working in a pediatric s setting
