Job summary

Arnot Health is seeking a Practical Nurse to care for a group of patients under the supervision of an RN. You will perform nursing processes, collect ongoing data, and implement the plan of care with attention to safety and patient education.

Responsibilities include timely documentation, recognizing status changes, and maintaining professionalism. BLS is required within 90 days; ACLS as needed in critical care units. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Practical Nursing Program registered by NYS or another state.
• BLS/CPR within defined timeframe; ACLS for critical care units.
• Ability to perform nursing duties under RN supervision and plan of care.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing process data collection focusing on physiologic and cognitive status.
• Provide care under supervision of a registered nurse according to plan of care.
• Identify changes in patient status and communicate to RN promptly.
• Implement care in a knowledgeable, skillful and continuous manner.
• Establish priorities of patient care and ensure timely documentation.
