Qualifications

• Graduate of a Practical Nursing Program registered by the NYS Education Department or other state licensure authority.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire date.
• ACLS required in critical care units.
• Demonstrates knowledge of legal issues in patient care and unit function.

Responsabilités

• Performs data collection focusing on physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status.
• Provides care to patients under direction of a registered nurse.
• Implements plans of care with accuracy and safety.
• Documents patient information timely and accurately using designated forms.
• Assists with patient education and communicates needs to RN.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to infection control policies.
• Responds efficiently in emergency situations following established protocols.
• Participates in attaining unit and nursing division goals.
