Job summary
NYS Office for People With Developmental Disabilities is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide nursing care under supervision. You will administer meds, monitor vital signs, and contribute to treatment plans in a supportive setting.
Candidates must possess NY LPN licensure (or a limited permit/app on file) and may need to obtain full licensure within one year. A valid NY driver’s license is required. The NY HELPS program applies.
Qualifications
- Licensed practical nurse in New York with active registration.
- Option to hold a limited permit or have an application on file.
- Must obtain full license within one year of limited permit.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed health care providers in patient care and plans.
- Administer medications and nursing procedures as prescribed.
- Record vital signs and monitor health status for diagnosis.
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
- Maintain charts and treatment records.
- Attend to personal care and daily living activities.
- Educate patients and families on health goals and procedures.
- Ensure a safe, clean, therapeutic environment.
- Monitor supplies and assist with supervision of unlicensed staff.
