Job summary

The Oregon Health Authority is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Oregon State Hospital Junction City Campus. You will provide nursing care under supervision, administer medications, and help maintain a safe therapeutic milieu for patients.

This is a full-time, on-site role with weekend shifts and a strong focus on crisis management and teamwork. Candidates must hold a valid Oregon Practical Nurse License and have experience in mental health settings.

Job Description

You’ll assist in determining and providing the medical/psychiatric nursing care and treatment for patients at Oregon State Hospital, under the supervision of the RN. You will administer medications as ordered by the provider, complete focused assessments, and respond to emergent psychiatric situations that could potentially be dangerous. Additionally, you will assist in providing a safe, secure environment and contribute to the maintenance of the therapeutic milieu.

What We Are Looking For

Minimum Qualifications: These qualifications must be reflected in your application for consideration.

• Possess a valid Oregon Practical Nurse License at the time of appointment. The license must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time from the application date.

• The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying range. If the successful candidate qualifies for PERS, the salary range will increase by 6.95%. For more information, see the Classification and Compensation page.
