The Wayne Initiative for School Health (WISH) Registered Nurse delivers healthcare to students in a school-based adolescent health program. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, teaching, and counseling. The RN works as part of a health team under the supervision of the Program Director and Nurse Practitioner.
The WISH program aims to provide affordable, accessible physical and mental health services to adolescents, advocating for children's health rights and addressing diverse needs. The goal is to promote healthy lifestyles and support students' success in school through comprehensive healthcare services.
Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing school; BSN or Master's preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Current RN license in North Carolina; BLS certification required.
Experience: 2-3 years working with adolescents in healthcare settings preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of adolescent health, community resources, cultural sensitivity, and proficiency with MS Office and EMR.
Work Type: Full Time, Remote, 35 hours/week, Day schedule. Location: WAYNE MED. Exempt from overtime.
