Job summary

Beaumont Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Indiana seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise day-to-day activities of nursing assistants, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards to maintain the highest quality of care.

Candidates must hold a current LPN license, be able to read, write and communicate in English, have CPR certification, and be capable of independent decision-making; LTC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• LPN license in good standing and current CPR certification.
• Proficient reading, writing and spoken English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when required.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and facility regulations.
• Long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants and plan shift services.
• Complete and file resident records, transcribe orders, and chart care.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physicians.
• Foster inter-departmental cooperation and a warm, calm unit atmosphere.
• Provide professional nursing services such as catheterization, tube feeding, suction, dressings, etc.
• Monitor safety and proper use of equipment and supplies.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information and privacy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
