Job summary

Mankato Clinic in Mankato, MN is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant or LPN to support our Psychiatry-TMS Services. You will welcome patients, room them for visits, document symptoms, take vital signs and assist with exams and procedures, working closely with physicians and staff to ensure compassionate, high quality care.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license by applicable state requirements.
• Degree or diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant Program; or MA certification.
• Current CPR certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to utilize computer for daily work.
• Patient-centered, accountability, teamwork, integrity.

Responsibilities

• Interventional Services treatment for TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation). This includes assisting patients throughout their treatment course, monitoring for concerns, completing documentation, and working closely with providers to ensure safe and effective care.
• Assist providers and departments by maintaining an efficient daily operation, following a daily schedule, and communicating updates as needed.
• Perform core nursing functions as needed for the department.
• Document patient data in Electronic Health Record system with accuracy and timeliness.
• Administer medications and/or immunizations in correct dosages as ordered using 8 Rights of Medication Administration; distribute educational materials; observe patients for reactions, chart, and bill appropriately.
• Demonstrate effective oral, keyboarding, and written communication skills.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Part-time, 72 hours/pay period
Monday-Friday between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Mankato Clinic is looking for a Medical Assistant or LPN who will care for patients with compassion, empathy and respect to ensure our clinics are a welcoming and healing place. MAs and LPNs assist our physicians and providers with patient visits, greeting, rooming and educating patients, setting up for exams and procedures, taking vital signs, and documenting symptoms. Key Job Duties:

• Primary Job Duty: Interventional Services treatment for TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation). • Document patient data in Electronic Health Record system. All data should be accurate, objective, timely and relevant to the patient’s care.
• Administer medications and/or immunizations in correct dosages as ordered using 8 Rights of Medication Administration. Distribute appropriate educational materials. Observe patients for reactions, chart, and charge appropriately.
• Demonstrate effective oral, keyboarding, and written communication skills.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Required:

• Current LPN license by applicable state requirements,OR
• a degree or diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant Program; Or a certification from an accredited educational institution
• Current CPR certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment;
• Ability to utilize computer for daily work;
• Patient-centered, accountability, teamwork, integrity, excellence.

Preferred:

• Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA) or registration (RMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

Employment is contingent on successful completion of drug screening, health assessment, and background check.

Benefits & Compensation:

Base Pay Range for Medical Assistant: $20.25 -$30.18 based on certification/registration

Base Pay Range for LPN: $22.45-$32.55

Initial pay based on relevant work experience

Our clinic environment offers primarily daytime, weekday schedules, helping employees maintain consistency in their daily routines. All employees scheduled 60-80 hours per pay period are eligible for full benefits.
