Job summary

The LPN will work with clinical and clerical support staff at Montefiore to deliver excellent patient care and promote patient satisfaction across multiple practices.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, recording patient history, administering medications and injections, and assisting with scheduling and authorizations. This LPN will cross cover across multiple practices with a focus on the Comprehensive Brain Center and can support other specialties as needed.

Qualifications

• Administers medications, injections, insulin, immunizations, perform finger sticks and functions in scope of license.
• Identifies patient goals, communicates, and collaborates with clinical team to support patient care plan.
• Performs clinical workflows.
• Monitor and record patient's vital signs, patient history and reason for visit.
• Explain treatments and procedures to patients and families.
• Assist with scheduling, referral and follow up appointments.
• Cross cover multiple practices.
• Assist with authorizations and administrative needs as needed.

• The LPN will assist with scheduling patients and authorizations to support administrative staff as needed. This position focuses on the Comprehensive Brain Center but can support other specialties as needed.
