Job summary

The LVN/LPN at Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, delivers direct and indirect patient care in the telemetry unit under RN supervision. This night shift role focuses on safety, comfort, and improving patient experience, within the Stepdown / Intermediate Care department in Chicago.

Eligible candidates hold a HS diploma, LPN/LVN license, IV and BW certifications within 90 days, and a current BLS certificate. Prior healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
• IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire date.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Work experience in health care preferred.

Responsibilities

• The LVN/LPN provides direct and indirect patient care services within the scope of practice. In collaboration with the healthcare team, under the supervision of an RN, maintains safety, provides patient comfort and improves the patient experience in the telemetry setting.

Responsibilities

The LVN/LPN provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring clinical competence within the scope of practice in accordance with state requirements. In collaboration with the healthcare team, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the LVN/LPN works to maintain safety, provide patient comfort and care and improve the overall patient experience in the telemetry setting.

1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.

2. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
