Wind Crest by Erickson Senior Living in Highlands Ranch, CO is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide clinical care to residents in our neighborhood, adhering to nursing standards and Erickson Senior Living policies. The role offers hourly pay of $32-$38 with a $1 night shift differential, rotating 7pm-11pm schedule, and orientation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in assisted living, home health or long-term care preferred.
• Licensed by Colorado as LPN/LVN.
• CPR certification required.
• Passion for caring for seniors and resident advocacy.
• Experience with electronic medical records preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications timely and accurately according to orders.
• Assess, observe, and document resident clinical condition in the EMR and notify providers as needed.
• Update care plans to reflect changes in resident needs.
• Supervise and lead care associates.
• Participate in meetings related to resident outcomes and care.
• Respond to residents, families, or responsible parties in a timely, professional manner.
• Support review of clinical indicators such as falls, wounds, nutrition, and antipsychotic use.

Job Description

Join our team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). The LPN/LVN is responsible for providing clinical care to residents in the neighborhood according to the nursing standards of practice, board of nursing, and Erickson Senior Living standards.

Compensation:

$32-$38 an hour (depending on experience), plus $1 an hour night shift differential

Schedule:

7pm-11pm, rotating schedule. Must be able to attend a week of orientation, Monday to Friday daytime hours.

How you will make an impact

• Developing relationships with the residents and their families using a consistent caregiver approach supporting the resident’s physical, spiritual, emotional, and clinical needs and focusing on placing the resident first.
• Assessing, observing, and evaluating resident’s clinical condition, document findings in the resident electronic medical record, and notify the provider and/or RN when necessary.
• Updating or modifying care plans as needed to reflect any changes to a resident’s care and service needs.
• Supervising and leading care associates
• Administering medications timely, accurately, and according to orders.
• Participating in meetings related to resident outcomes and care
• Responding to residents, family, or responsible parties in a timely and professional manner
• Participating in the review of clinical indicator reviews – falls, wounds, nutrition, antipsychotic use, etc.
• Other duties as assigned by RN clinical leader

What you will need

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in assisted living, home health, or long-term care is preferred.
• Licensed by Colorado as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• CPR certification required.
• A passion to care for seniors and be a strong resident advocate.
• Experience with electronic medical records is preferred.
