Job summary

Greenspring Village by Erickson Senior Living is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for part-time or flex scheduling. You will provide compassionate, resident-centered care, support health and wellness, and help create a welcoming environment where residents feel respected and valued.

The role emphasizes building relationships with residents and families, updating care plans, administering medications, and supervising care staff.

Qualifications

• Virginia LPN license required with DHP registration.
• CPR certification required; maintain valid BLS CPR within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with residents and families using a consistent caregiver approach.
• Assess, observe, and document resident condition; notify RN/provider as needed.
• Update care plans to reflect changes in resident needs.
• Supervise and lead care associates.
• Administer medications accurately and timely.
• Participate in meetings related to resident outcomes and care.
• Respond to residents, families, or responsible parties promptly.
• Support clinical indicator reviews (falls, wounds, nutrition, antipsychotic use).
• Perform other duties as assigned by RN clinical leader.

How you will make an impact

• Developing relationships with the residents and their families using a consistent caregiver approach supporting the resident’s physical, spiritual, emotional, and clinical needs and focusing on placing the resident first.
• Assessing, observing, and evaluating resident’s clinical condition, document findings in the resident electronic medical record, and notify the provider and/or RN when necessary.
• Updating or modifying care plans as needed to reflect any changes to a resident’s care and service needs.
• Supervising and leading care associates
• Administering medications timely, accurately, and according to orders.
• Participating in meetings related to resident outcomes and care
• Responding to residents, family, or responsible parties in a timely and professional manner
• Participating in the review of clinical indicator reviews – falls, wounds, nutrition, antipsychotic use, etc.
• Other duties as assigned by RN clinical leader

What you will need

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in assisted living, home health, or long-term care is preferred.
• Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia required. Candidates must have license number registered with the Virginia Department of Health Professions (DHP).
• CPR certification required.
• Erickson requires all clinical care team members to maintain a validBasic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification. Employees who do not hold a current BLS CPR certification must complete the required training within 90 days from the first day of employment.
• A passion to care for seniors and be a strong resident advocate.
• Experience with electronic medical records is preferred.
