Job summary

SanStone Health & Rehabilitation is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team in North Carolina. Available shifts are 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am with every other weekend. Unrestricted LPN license required; a $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered for full-time employees.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted LPN license required.
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise care and services provided by CNAs and other staff.
• Coordinate nursing care on the unit for assigned residents.
• Provide safe, accurate medication-related interventions.
• Accurately transcribe and implement physician orders.
• Notify physician of status changes and document new orders.
• Develop and implement a plan of care based on assessments.
• Institute nursing interventions to stabilize conditions and prevent complications.

Available shifts are 7am-7pm, and 7pm-7am with every other weekend requirement. Applicant must have unrestricted LPN license. Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, services, and health education to our residents.

These positions require patience, compassion, and a desire to care for the residents in a gentle and empathetic manner. Some responsibilities of the LPN may include:

• Supervise the care/services provided by Certified Nursing Assistants and other staff.
• Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, assuring all assigned staff are capable of providing appropriate care to them.
• Provide safe and accurate medication related interventions to residents.
• Accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
• Notify the physician of changes in status and promptly implement and document new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Select and institute appropriate nursing interventions that might be required to stabilize a resident’s condition and/or prevent complications.

Contribute to the resident’s assessment and the development of a care plan.
