Job summary

SanStone Health & Rehabilitation in North Carolina is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team. Shifts run 7a–7p and 7p–7a, with every other weekend required.

An unrestricted LPN license is mandatory and a $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered for full-time staff. We provide a new wage scale, favorable nurse-to-resident ratios, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, pharmacy plans, a 401K with employer match, and PTO.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the care/services provided by CNAs and other staff.
• Coordinate nursing care of residents on the unit, ensuring staff competency.
• Provide safe medication-related interventions to residents.
• Transcribe and coordinate physician orders.
• Notify physician of status changes and implement new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment and implement nursing care.
• Institute nursing interventions as needed to stabilize residents and prevent complications.
• Contribute to resident assessments and care plan development.

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, services, and health education to our residents.

These positions require patience, compassion, and a desire to care for the residents in a gentle and empathetic manner. Some responsibilities of the LPN may include:

• Supervise the care/services provided by Certified Nursing Assistants and other staff.
• Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, assuring all assigned staff are capable of providing appropriate care to them.
• Provide safe and accurate medication related interventions to residents.
• Accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
• Notify the physician of changes in status and promptly implement and document new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Select and institute appropriate nursing interventions that might be required to stabilize a resident’s condition and/or prevent complications.

Contribute to the resident’s assessment and the development of a care plan.
