Job summary

Paris Regional in Paris, Texas, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an LVN to contribute to patient care in Rehabilitation. You will perform plan-of-care interventions, assist with daily living activities, and document care while collaborating with RNs and physicians.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current LVN license in the state.
• Associate degree from an accredited nursing school.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to patient assessment by collecting data for RN analysis.
• Performs plan-of-care interventions including wound care; may administer medication.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Assists RN with development of plan of care.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Monitors and communicates patient status with RN, physician, patient, and family.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

How You'll Contribute

Essential Functions

• Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; may administer medication.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Assists RN with development of plan of care.
• Assists patients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Monitors, documents, and communicates patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and family.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Requirements

Applicants should have a current state LVN license and possess an associates degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
