Job summary

Lancaster Rehabilitation Hospital in Lancaster, PA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for full-time night shifts (3x12, 6:30p-7a). You will provide safe, patient-centered nursing care in an inpatient rehabilitation setting, supported by a collaborative interdisciplinary team within Lifepoint Health.

The role emphasizes medication administration, wound care, assessments, and contributing to the plan of care, with opportunities for professional development and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

  • CPR/BCLS certification required
  • Minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred
  • IV Certification highly preferred or must be obtained within 6 months

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications safely, accurately, and based on patient age and clinical condition.
  • Minimize potential for medication errors by following proper medication administration procedures.
  • Assist the RN with initial assessments and patient reassessments per policy.
  • Identify and implement appropriate rehabilitation nursing interventions.
  • Perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments under RN supervision.
  • Deliver care based on patient response to treatment and update the interdisciplinary plan accordingly.
  • Assess and reassess pain; use appropriate pain management techniques and educate patients and families.
  • Perform all patient care tasks in a manner that promotes patient safety and reduces medical errors.
  • Develop and implement individualized teaching plans based on patient and family learning needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who excels in this role:

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current Pennsylvania LPN license and is a graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse program. Additional requirements include:
