Job summary

MercyOne Clive Rehabilitation Hospital in Clive, Iowa is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for night shifts to deliver direct patient care under RN supervision. You will participate in assessments, nursing care planning, and interdisciplinary care coordination to support recovery from stroke, brain injury, or orthopedic conditions.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited LPN Program.
• Current state license as Licensed Practical Nurse.
• CPR/BCLS certification.
• IV Certification highly preferred or must be obtained within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessments and support interdisciplinary care planning.
• Develop nursing care plans with patient, family, and staff as needed.

How you'll contribute

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, delivering treatments, assisting in assessments, and supporting interdisciplinary care planning in accordance with the patient's needs. Provides planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process of Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation. Develops nursing care plans in coordination with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary staff as necessary. Communicates changes in the patient's clinical condition with Physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and co-workers as appropriate.

What we're looking for

• Graduation from an accredited LPN Program
• Current state license as Licensed Practical Nurse
• Minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• CPR/BCLS certification
• IV Certification highly preferred or must be obtained within 6 months.
