Job summary

Mitchell Care and Rehab Center is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team for a night shift (Thursday through Sunday, 10pm–6am). You will provide skilled nursing care, administer medications, and help develop individualized care plans to meet residents’ needs in a supportive environment.

We offer competitive pay based on experience, shift differential where applicable, PTO, tuition reimbursement up to 5,000 per year, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited LPN School of Nursing.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.
• Valid LPN license for the state of Oklahoma is required.
• Valid CPR certification is required.
• Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and assist with all aspects of nursing.
• Develop and lead individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document residents’ condition and needs.
• Accurately implement physicians’ orders in a timely manner.
• Assign care tasks to team members based on needs and capabilities.
• Administer medications.
• Initiate IVs and perform treatments as assigned.
• Ensure supplies and equipment are maintained safely.

Available Full-Time Shifts:

• Thursday - Sunday 10pm to 6am

Essential Functions of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

• Highly motivated and able to assist in all aspects of nursing
• The candidate will provide services that exceed company and regulatory standards
• Initiates and leads individualized nursing care plans
• Assesses and documents the resident’s condition and nursing needs
• Accurately and promptly implements physicians’ orders
• Assigns nursing care to team members in accordance with the resident’s needs and the person’s capabilities and qualifications
• Administers medications
• Starts IVs and performs treatments for assigned residents
• Documents that treatment as requiredEnsures that supplies are utilized economically, and that equipment is clean and maintained a safe manner
• Others duties as assigned

Qualifications of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

• Graduate of accredited LPN School of Nursing
• One year of nursing experience is preferred
• Valid LPN license for the state of Oklahoma is required
• Valid CPR certification
• Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the organization
• Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Knowledge of training techniques for clinical staff
