The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) administers prescribed medications and treatments to residents and maintains related work records. Requirements

• Skills: Basic reading and writing skills, and ability to speak English in an understandable manner
• Years of Experience: Gerontological nursing including dementia population preferred
• Licensure: Current active LPN license in state of practice

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods; Ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis; Full use of hands, arms, and legs (for writing and medication administration); Ability to read thermometers, charts and testing equipment
