Job summary

Arden Courts of West Orange is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for PRN shifts. The LPN administers prescribed medications and treatments and maintains resident care records in accordance with professional standards and facility policies.

As part of the Health & Wellness team, you will ensure resident needs are met under physician orders and federal, state, and local guidelines. Benefits include daily access to pay and other staff perks for PRN positions.

Qualifications

• Current active LPN license in state of practice.
• Gerontological nursing experience with dementia preferred.
• Basic reading/writing skills and English proficiency.

Description

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) administers prescribed medications and treatments to residents and maintains related work records. The LPN also ensures resident’s needs are met in accordance with professional standards of practice through physician orders, facility policies and procedures, and federal, state and local guidelines . Requirements

• Skills: Basic reading and writing skills, and ability to speak English in an understandable manner
• Years of Experience: Gerontological nursing including dementia population preferred
• Licensure: Current active LPN license in state of practice
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods; Ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis; Full use of hands, arms, and legs (for writing and medication administration); Ability to read thermometers, charts and testing equipment
